After a long day braving the local Kali River Rapids, intrepid travelers can enjoy a sumptuous taste of local flavor in a quaint village home. At the Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant visitors can relax and replenish with delicious pan-Asian dishes.

The gorgeously themed sit-down restaurant fits in perfectly with the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Be sure to try the Mango Pie!

Delicious Pan-Asian food including Korean, India, Chinese, and Japanese dishes. Awesome theming and decorations throughout the restaurant. Solid Disney Dining Plan value thanks to adventurous drinks and incredible desserts.

The only negative we experienced was slightly slow service despite a 4:30PM reservation and few other full tables around us. The menu can be adventurous to some, and the amount of menu items make it hard to choose.

This review is going to be short compared to some of our others. It’s short for one very good reason: Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant is awesome. When we talk about how dining in Disney World is more than just cheeseburgers and pizza, Yak & Yeti is one of the places that proves us right.

Since Yak & Yeti is in Animal Kingdom, it makes sense that this restaurant holds incredibly detailed theming inside. Asia is obviously an enormous continent. While this restaurant only focuses on the more popular, high-level pan-Asian foods and cultures like Indian, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, the focus is executed in exquisite detail.

As soon as you arrive you will be greeted by a collection of Southeast Asian artifacts collected by the proprietor of the establishment. Some rooms are more heavily decorated than others, but you’ll likely have plenty to look at from your table. The restaurant’s theming and menu are really the only heavily-themed things to experience here. The rest of your dinner will likely proceed as any normal dinner would, as your waiter and service don’t have to contend with characters or other distractions.

It is worth noting that Yak & Yeti is run by Landry’s, Inc. and not by Disney themselves. No matter your feelings about Rainforest Cafe, one of Landry’s other Walt Disney World restaurants, this group really does it right at Yak & Yeti. If you happen to dine at Landry’s Inc’s restaurants often then you can take advantage of their Select Club offer too!

Focus On...

  • Mango Pie

Drink This

  • Everest Refresher (non-alc)

To echo the Atmosphere section, this review is short because the food is simply good. If you like any type of Asian food, then try the closest version of it on the Yak & Yeti dinner menu.

Also, DO NOT SKIP DESSERT. Get the Fried Wontons and the Mango Pie. You will not be disappointed.
